PHO BROTH

I finally learned how to make some delicious pho broth! Healthy and delicious!

BROTH

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 whole radish
  • 1-3 kg beef leg bone marrow, shank, flap, belly, knuckle bones, beef tendon
  • 1 tbsp palm sugar / rock sugar
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
  • water 4 quarts

TO TOAST & PUT IN BAG

  • 2 onion
  • 2 ginger (sliced)
  • 3 star anise
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2-3 black cardamons
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp coriander seed
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 thao qua

Gentle simmer for 3 hours

    Brilliant! Just had pho today but yours sounds like something I will try in the fall when the weather cools and my crockpot comes back to life.
